팔레스타인 평화를 위한 노력은 21세기 최후의 인종차별과 식민지를 청산하는 일일 뿐만 아니라, 평화의 왕으로 세상에 오신 예수 그리스도의 정의로운 평화를 세우는 최소한의 신앙 고백입니다. 인종차별과 군사적 점령에 의한 핍박은 하나님에 대한 죄(sin)입니다. 이스라엘 시오니즘(Zionism.)에 의한 군사적 점령과 차별에 의해 고통받고 신음하는 팔레스타인들과 연대의 손을 붙잡는 것은 한국 크리스챤의 존재 방식입니다.
한국 또한 팔레스타인과 마찬가지로 일제에 의한 식민지와 차별, 분단의 경험을 역사적 유산으로 갖고있으며, 이로 인한 고통을 지금도, 여전히 경험하고 있습니다. 특별히 한국 크리스챤은 “평화의 왕으로 오신 예수가 지금, 팔레스타인 어디에 있는가?”라는 신앙적 질문과 기복신앙을 복음으로 숭배하는 일부 교회와 크리스챤들을 통해 “이 시대를 살아가는 크리스챤은 무엇인가?”라는 질문에 응답할 것을 요청받고 있습니다.
팔레스타인 평화 기도회를 통해 팔레스타인의 평화를 위한 구체적인 약속들을 나누고, 크리스챤으로서의 삶의 고백과 성찰의 시간을 나누고자 합니다. |

<A Prayer Meeting for Peace in Palestine>
The efforts for peace in Palestine will mean not only the end of the last racial discrimination and colonization in the 21 century but also the minimum confession of faith for us to build a righteous peace of Jesus who came to earth as king of peace. Palestinians continue to suffer from racial discrimination and military occupation. Oppression conducted by the Israeli government is a sin against God. Practicing solidarity with Palestinians who suffer and groan under military occupation and discrimination caused by Israeli Zionism is the way Korean Christians exist.
Like Palestinians, Koreans also have a historical legacy of being occupied and discriminated by the Japanese and national division. The pain caused by such experience is still pulsating.
Korean Christians, in particular, is being asked to answer two questions of "Where is Jesus who came to earth as king of peace in Palestine now?"-a religious question- and "What does living as a Christian in this age mean? - through some churches and Christians worshipping health and wealth gospel".
We are planning to share specific commitments to peace in Palestine and also share a time for Christian confessions and reflection.
Date and time: Every third Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
