Bil'in - Ramallah: One villager hit by rubber-coated steel bullet and dozens suffered from tear gas inhalation during the weekly demonstration against the illegal settlements and the Apartheid Wall in Bil’in.
Bil'in - Ramallah: 불법 정착촌과 분리장벽에 대해 반대하는 Bil’in에서 매주 열리는 시위 중 한 마을 주민은 고무탄에 맞았으며, 다수의 사람들은 최루가스의 흡입으로 피해를 입었다.
Like every Friday, the villagers walked through the village towards the second Apartheid Wall that still occupies around 30% of the village’s land. They crossed the olive groves that the Israeli army had illegally annexed for over six years and which the villagers were able to liberate through their continuous resistance. Some gathered early and enjoyed the shade of the trees in the area where villagers have now created the Abu Laymoon park.
매주 금요일에 했듯이 마을 주민들은 마을을 거쳐 토지의 30%정도를 차지하는 두 번째 분리장벽으로 향하였다. 그곳은 한때 이스라엘이 6년 넘게 점령하였지만 주민들의 지속적인 저항으로 인해 다시 얻은 올리브 밭이다. 일찍 모인 몇몇 주민들은 Abu Laymoon 공원의 나무가 주는 그늘을 즐기고 있었다.
When the protestors reached the second Apartheid Wall at the illegal colony on their lands - chanting for the liberation of Palestine and raising the Palestinian flag and banners of the imprisoned Marwan Bargouthi - soldiers stationed behind the wall started shooting tear gas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets at them, setting fire to a stretch of bushes close to the park. A twenty year old was shot with a rubber coated steel bullet in the leg. In spite of the continuing barrage of tear gas canisters, the protestors held their ground in the heat of Palestine’s summers, chanting “Palestine is the 194 state”, in reference to the PA’s plan to request recognition as a full member state at the UN in September, demanding the immediate release of all political prisoners and vowing to keep up the resistance until Palestine is free and Palestinian rights are recognized.
팔레스타인 빌린 사람들이 (이스라엘) 불법 정착촌의 두 번째 분리장벽에 도착하여 팔레스타인의 해방을 외치며 팔레스타인 국기와 수감된 Marwan Bargouthi의 현수막을 높이 들어 올렸다. 벽 뒤에 주둔 하고 있던 (이스라엘) 병사들은 최루가스 통을 투척하였으며 그들을 향해 고무탄을 발사하고 공원의 덤불에 불을 질렀다. 스무살 쯤의 한 사람은 다리에 고무탄을 맞기도 하였다. 지속적인 연발 사격과 팔레스타인 여름의 열기에도 불구하고 빌린 사람들은 버티고 있었으며 “팔레스타인은 194번째 국가”를 노래하고 있었다. 이 노래에는 9월에 있을 독립국가가 되기 위한 UN의 승인과 정치적으로 투옥된 사람들을 풀어 줄 것과 팔레스타인이 해방되고 팔레스타인의 국민권이 인정받을 때까지 저항하겠다는 맹세에 관한 것이다.

Right now your money finds its way to this part of the world where children and innocent civilians are killed, injured, and made to suffer. It also empowers the Israeli government to further ignore international law and perpetuate its intransigence.
These demonstrations in September will tell the US government to stop supporting this occupation and stand up for justice and freedom in Palestine.

미국의 세금은 팔레스타인 땅을 불법적으로 비인간적으로 정령하는 일에 지원하는 것으로 사용되고 있습니다. 불법 정착촌을 건설하기 위한 공사, 팔레스타인의 농장에 대한 합병, 밤에 팔레스타인을 침범할 때 필요한 무기를 사는데도 지출되고 있습니다. 이제는 그대들의 돈이 이 세계에 진정 필요한 곳, 다치고, 죽고 힘들어 하는 어린 아이들과 죄 없는 시민들을 위해 쓰여야 합니다. The Palestinian popular commitees have sent out the following message, asking for help in ending the staggering amount of aid the United states sends to Israel; aid that is essential in maintaining the illegal military occupation of Palestine. In London we will heed their call and demonstrate outside the US embassy on September 17th. If you support justice for the Palestinian people please be there, the message is;

The popular comittees-Palestine asks all those who support peace and justice in Palestine to organise demonstrations in September outside the US embassies of their countries calling for the end of US aid to Israel. Demonstrations are already planned in front of the White House on September 15th and in front of the United Nations building in New York on September 15th, but to be successful we need to globalise the resistance.
